So South by Southwest Interactive 2007 has come to a close and after a flight back to Gatwick on Wednesday / Thursday we are now back at home. We thought it'd be a good idea to highlight some of the best panels and other things from our trip.

2 Will Wright keynote

An amazing keynote from the genius creator of The Sims was a fitting way to end SXSWi 2007.

0 12 Values Shaping Technology’s Future

This panel tried to step back from technology creation and look at the crossing points of technology and consumer values and how these will be key going forward.

0 $100 Internet Businesses

Through the highs and lows on the internet like with all businesses there are opportunities to be had the trick is to find them.

3 How to Create A Kickass In-House Design Team

When work with a medium sized design team within a large corporation you need to make sure the work you produce is the best after all you have the better knowledge of the business than an agency. This session reaffirmed the strength of my own team and had some useful points that will help to cement that going forward.

2 Web Typography Sucks

A session about web typography may not sound that interesting, but it was incredibly informative and highlighted some big gaps in our web design / development processes.

Dan Cederholm writer of - Bulletproof web design, Introduced the presentation as an add on to his book. Jason and Andy kicked off with images and music from Snatch which set the scene.

This session covered the concept of design patterns - what they are, why they are needed and how they can be used.

1 The Growth and Evolution of Microformats

An excellent session all about microformats (ways of marking up content to bring semantic richness), with Tantek Çelik and surprise guest Jeremy Keith

0 Adobe Web Awards

Presented by Ze Frank a very funny man brought to fame by How to Dance Properly party invite he created in 2001. The awards were very fast paced and the whole thing was a little short we could of happily sat listerning to Ze for longer.
