Highlight 1: How to Rawk SXSW
SXSWi is fast approaching and in less than 2 weeks we will be jetting off to (hopefully) sunny Austin. Between now and then we will be posting various articles we are calling highlights - quick overviews of the panels and events we are looking forward to the most.
First up is the “How to Rawk SXSW” panel on the 9th March. Its one of only 3 panels on the 9th (the event kicks off in full on the 10th) and its all about experienced pros giving their insights on how to make the most out of the event.
As SXSW newbies, this is a panel we simply need to attend. Looking at Google Earth, the Austin Convention Center where SXSWi is held looks humongous and dwarfs any other conferences we’ve ever been too. Also, the quantity of panels mixed in with an ongoing Trade Show makes planning a head-scratching time, so hearing the insights from the pros will be great.
Also Tantek Çelik, who is well known for helping develop IE on the Mac and then inventing the IE box model hack, will be on speaking at this one. He’s definitely one of the few web design / development “celebrities” and it will be great to see the man behind the CSS code we have used so much in the past!
